Alison Doody
Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish actress and model. After her first small part as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989's Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character from A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985) She went on to portray the Nazi-sympathizing Elsa Schneider. Other roles include Siobhan Donavan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was asked by a photographer to model and started to take on the role of model. She then developed a career of commercial modelling. Doody was averse to glamour and nude modeling, which that was carried into her acting. After catching the eye of the director of casting for an upcoming James Bond movie, she participated in A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was named as one of the top 12 promising young Actors of 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody was only 18 at the time of her first appearance in the Bond role. Today, she is the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actress in the 1987 version from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 featured her in the lead part in Sapsorrow as well as John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking probably her most high-profile part ever as Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors who have portrayed James Bond. Doody's return to the big screen took place in 2003. Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. In 2004, she starred in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She was also as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). The Clinic, a medical drama that aired on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. The show also featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way (2014). In November of 2018 she was awarded the Almeria tierra de Cine Award and received a Star on Almeria's Walk of Fame.
