Marcia Harvey
Marcia Harvey is an African-American
author, but is most well-known for her ex-wifeship with comedic legend and TV
host, Steve Harvey. She decided to keep her private life a secret and out of
the spotlight. Steve did not have the same level of success that the one he is
now, however they were married 14 years. It's not clear what led to the split,
however Hollywood has heard rumors about it. Some believe it was due to Steve
Harvey's cheating ways and some to his choosing the path of a different kind, like
comedy. The tragic story of her life can be attributed to Steve's abandonment
of her as well as her two daughters when she was pregnant with her third child.
Despite all the struggles she has managed to make an excellent career in
fashion design and writing. She is the writer of "Marcia's eyes To The
Soul, 'Marcia's Poems From The Heart, and Marcia's Thoughts From The Heart. Her
children are influenced by her generosity and kindness. Marcia Harvey was born
to an African-American family. They were not wealthy. She started working at a
department store named 'Saks Fifth Avenue'. She came across Steve several years
later at a mutual friend's reception party. The two fell in love and were
married in the year 1980. Steve was employed as an insurance salesman the time
and the couple was blessed with twin girls in 1982. Steve started to feel
depressed at his job and began to consider a career in entertainment. He wanted
to be an actor. This resulted in a lot conflict between him and Marcia and
later reports suggested they were about to live apart from the year 1990.
Marcia Harvey was famous for her divorce from Steve Harvey and marriage. The
circumstances leading to the divorce of Steve and Marcia in 1994 are largely
kept a secret but there is no doubt that Marcia was expecting their third
child. This was the point at which everything went downhill. Marcia finally
filed for divorce in 1993. Marcia was forced to file for divorce by Steve
Harvey's refusal to pay alimony or child support after her divorce.
