Abigail Leigh Spencer (born August 4 1981) is an American actor. She is best known for her performance in the film The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia Oz the Great and Powerful and This Is Where I Leave You as well as for her roles on the television show Angela's Eyes Mad Men Hawthorne and Suits. The actress is currently starring as Amantha Holden on The Sundance Channel Drama series Rectify. Abigail Leigh Spencer is an American actress, who appears on TV as well as movies. Her appearances in the drama series Rectify as well as the sci-fi series Timeless earned her the title of a celebrity. She is a native of Gulf Breeze, Florida and began her acting career on the soap-opera All My Children. The soap drama All My Children earned the actress an award by Soap Opera Digest for Best Female Newcomer. In the following years, she mainly played guest parts on various television series. She was recognized for the role she played as the character of Dr. Erin Jameson, in the TV show Hawthorne. Her character slowly gained a huge fan base with her stunning look and incredible acting talents. At the age twenty she made her debut in the film Campfire Stones. Jekyll This Means War as along with Chasing Mavericks are other films where she starred. The role she played on Beautiful Now earned her a nomination at the Madrid International Film Festival Award. Her most recent work in TV has been in the leading role of history professor Lucy Preston in the sci-fi TV series Timeless. Spencer was praised from critics regarding her character in the sci-fi television program Timeless. The actress has also been nominated for an award called the Teen Choice Award.
